Hire one person. Cover the whole stack.

Fifteen-plus years running infrastructure, integrating ERP and commerce systems, and building custom software. In 2026 I've been shipping three independent products end to end: backend, data pipelines, infrastructure, and frontend.

Ancestors

ancestors.my

A research platform for Italian civil records, built on ~95,000 pages of 19th-century registry documents transcribed with a self-hosted vision-language OCR pipeline, then structured with NER and entity linking into browsable people, families, and acts.

  • Ran a ~92K-image OCR pipeline on consumer AMD GPU hardware (ROCm/vLLM), with adaptive concurrency and failure recovery.
  • Entity extraction and record linking across births, marriages, and deaths, with automated data-quality passes that cut missing-parent rates by over 90%.
  • Full product UI: record viewer, persona browse, link review, and search, deployed behind nginx/gunicorn with Cloudflare.

Evident

evidentdna.com

A consumer DNA insights app with an evidence-first design: every claim links back to its source, copy stays conservative, and a four-level "zoom lens" interface scales from top takeaways down to dense per-marker detail across body systems.

  • Information architecture built for honesty at scale: takeaways → body systems → system drill-down → marker pages, with search, sort, and filtering throughout.
  • Prototype system covers 90+ markers in the cardiovascular domain alone, rendered from a structured view model for fast iteration.
  • Deliberately conservative health framing: no overclaiming, with citations attached to the evidence, not the marketing.

FilePier

filepier.com

A modern desktop file-transfer client with dual-pane local/remote browsing that speaks both SFTP and S3 through one interface, built for moving serious amounts of data without babysitting it.

  • Smart transfer engine: parallel segmented uploads and downloads over multiple SFTP connections for large files, direct transfers for small ones, all resumable mid-transfer, even after a crash.
  • Security handled properly: trust-on-first-use host-key verification, known_hosts integration, and explicit warnings when a server's key changes.
  • Deep quality-of-life: auto-reconnect on dropped connections, edit remote files in local apps with auto-sync back, server-side zipping of many-small-file folders, and full file management (chmod, rename, properties) from context menus.

One hire that keeps everything running.

I exist at the intersection of technology and operations: administering Linux server fleets at scale, bridging disconnected ERP, point-of-sale, and warehouse systems into one coherent stack, and building the custom software that ties it together, from RFID inventory tooling to customer portals to full e-commerce pipelines.

Along the way I've led engineering and support teams, grown platforms from zero to tens of thousands of users, and cut real operating costs with software I wrote myself. The three 2026 projects above are that same range applied solo: design, data, infrastructure, and product, end to end.
